Mike Schultz was one of the men who attended the National LQBTQ Task Force’s Winter Party in Miami, that later tested positive for coronavirus.
"I wanted to show everyone how badly being sedated for 6 weeks on a ventilator or intubated can be. Amongst other things, covid19 reduced my lung capacity with pneumonia." he writes.

A nurse from San Francisco, it was Schultz’s first time attending the party. He traveled back to Boston with his boyfriend after the party and was later hospitalized as his infection grew worse.
After weeks of fighting, he was finally released from the hospital yesterday.
